Races
In Skyrim, there are many different races to choose from at the beginning of the game. These races are called Argonian, Breton, Dunmer (Dark Elf), Altmer (High Elf), Imperial, Khajiit, Nord, Orsimer (Orc), Redguard, and Bosmer (Wood Elf). The Argonian is a beast race that resembles a lizard. They can breathe underwater, hit harder with their fists, and have a natural resistance to diseases. Bretons are one of the many races of humans in Skyrim. They have a higher aptitude for magic than other humans, as they descended from elves. Dunmer, or Dark Elves, have a natural resistance to fire and are very talented in Destruction magic. Altmer, or High Elves, are the tallest and most magically inclined race in Skyrim. Imperials are another race of humans that come from the imperial city. They are good at one-handed combat, and they always seem to find more gold than other races. Khajiit are a beast race that resembles a cat. They do extra damage with their claws and make excellent thieves. Nords are yet another race of humans. Their bodies are acclimated to the cold, as they are native to snowy lands of Skyrim. Nords make excellent warriors and are very proud people. Orsimer, or Orcs, are a race of elves who excel at forging and are great warriors. Redguards are a race of humans who excel in one-handed combat. They prefer to fight with two scimitars over a two-handed weapon or a shield. Bosmer, or Wood Elves, are from a heavily wooded province. They excel at archery and have a natural resistance to poison and disease.
Classes
There are many different classes you can play in Skyrim. The most popular class is the stealth archer, as it is easily the most powerful class in the game. Stealth archers can sneak around and take enemies out from afar without getting noticed. While stealth archers are generally the most powerful class in the game, that doesn’t mean other classes are weak. You can play as an assassin with twin blades or illusion magic to make yourself invisible. You can play as a two-handed warrior with a greatsword, battleaxe, or warhammer. Personally, my favorite way to play is as a destruction mage that can shoot fire, ice, or lightning out of my bare hands. With so many different ways to play the game it is near-impossible to get bored of it.
